Cheapest pub in town. Excellent value for money. Top quality food and friendly staff. It is clean, tidy and we'll managed throughout. Get in early as they often close doors at 9pm!!! I will certainly be back!

Excellent vegetarian breakfast. Extensive evening meal menu with several vegetarian/vegan options. Clean and comfortable room. Recently redecorated and new central heating system. Excellent communication. Friendly staff. Very good value for money.

Fantastic base to explore the Highlands
I'm having a few days travelling solo, hiking mountains and sightseeing in the Highlands As a base to see the Highlands, the Ben Mhor is ideal. The welcome is warm from the owners and it feels safe for a woman travelling alone. It's basic, but amply equipped for the price with a comfy bed and a decent shower. I haven't had any meals yet as I'm out early inthe mornings but the cooking food smells delicious so I'm likely to try the food before I leave.

Arrived in Grantown on Spey very tired after nine hour drive. Went for a pint and evening meal in Ben Mohr Hotel.Do not be fooled by the uninviting exterior - this is a great place to eat. Child-friendly, welcoming. Good food at great prices. Good local beers (even if not real ales). Excellent, quick service. What more do you need?

Welcoming place to stay in the heart of Grantown
Friendly staff and great ambience. The room was comfortble and quiet. This hotel has been here for many years and is full of character. It is a great base for exploring Lochaber. In my case I was fishing the local lochs and walking. The bar is well stockjed and bar suppers readily available and good value. Breakfast enjoyable (poached eggs my favourite). Will return later in the year.

Great place for lunch
We didn’t stay here but had lunch on Thursday 4th May on a wee drive from Aviemore. We had a friend in a wheelchair with us who is also coeliac. There was plenty on the menu for her and access was easy. The food was good and very reasonably priced and the lady who served us was friendly and welcoming. My husband was so impressed with the price of the cocktails he took a photograph of the board! We will certainly be back the next time we are in Grantown.

I had a great stay at the Ben Mhor, for a long weekend. It's very reasonably priced for the area, and that's reflected in the basic nature of the rooms, but it is clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, and they made our stay a very pleasant and enjoyable one. Food in the hotel was surprisingly cheap and very decent, breakfast was great. The bar is cozy and very reasonably priced, with a good selection of single malts as well as the usual draft offerings. The hotel is in the heart of town, within easy walking distance of several restaurants and shops.

Always go here when ahm in the village. Just good, simple food with good drinks and about 45 whiskys. Staff are great. Nit this time, but in the winter, the fire roars all night. Love it.

We only went in for food and drinks on a whim bit so pleased that we did the food was so nice and a bonus for us with two 3 year olds is they had toys so the kids where occupied while waiting for food etc best meal we had in a long time and all reasonably priced as well. Another thing we liked was being able to choose what sides we had with our mains.
